Honey Apple Rings

Ingredients

 

  • 4 apples, washed, cored, and sliced into rings

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar

  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

  Mix honey, vinegar, & cinnamon. Bring to a boil. Add apple rings and cook until apples are transparent. Turn often and cook for about 10 minutes. Spoon the sauce from the apple rings over sausage (refer to page 75 to learn how to make "Sausage Patties cooked in Apple Cider".

Count as a meat and fruit serving.
